Is LivaFast a medical device?

No. LivaFast is a wellness tracker for people already under a clinician’s care. It never diagnoses, never prescribes, and always nudges you toward your hepatologist. The Liver Progress Score is informational — not a substitute for a FibroScan or a liver panel.

Does LivaFast send my data anywhere?

No. Your labs, fasting windows, and chat history live in CloudKit Private DB — end-to-end encrypted with your Apple ID. The developer has no access, and there are no third-party analytics, ad SDKs, or crash reporters that see health data.

Do I need an Apple Watch?

No, but it helps. The iPhone app is fully featured on its own. The Watch companion adds live fasting complications, sleep consistency tracking, and haptic stage notifications.

What iPhone do I need?

iOS 26 or later. LiVA uses Apple Foundation Models, which requires an Apple-Intelligence-capable device (iPhone 15 Pro or newer). Older iPhones on iOS 26 get everything except the on-device coach.

Is there a subscription, ever?

No. One payment of $39.99 gets you the full app, the Watch companion, LiVA, and every update we will ever ship. If we ever add a feature you truly cannot live without, we will ship it as a second app — never as a subscription.

Can my doctor see my data?

Yes — you can export a one-page PDF with your labs, fasting adherence, and LPS trend. Take it to your next appointment. There is no clinician portal; your doctor sees what you bring them.

How do I delete my data?

Delete the app to remove local data. For iCloud data, go to Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage → LivaFast → Delete Data. There is no server-side data to worry about.

How do I request a refund?

All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store. You can request a refund through Apple’s Report a Problem page within 14 days of purchase. We don’t process payments directly.

I found a bug. How do I report it?

Email support@livafast.com with a description of the issue, your iOS version, and device model. Screenshots or screen recordings are extremely helpful.
